The Birth of Mantled Mama

Updated: Jun 9

Hey Mama,

I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you stumbled across this blog or have been following the journey for a while, I believe you’re here on purpose. What you’re about to read is the heartbeat behind Mantled Mama—the why, the how, and the hope that brought it to life. So settle in, take a deep breath, and let’s begin.

After the birth of my daughter in 2022, the Holy Spirit began to place the concept of Mantled Mama on my heart. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what it meant—but over the past two years, the vision has slowly and beautifully unfolded.

Like many first-time moms, I entered motherhood with a lot of preconceived ideas—shaped by my upbringing, personal experiences, and even my background working with children. But I quickly realized that while those things contribute to my journey, they don’t define it.

Understanding what each of my children uniquely needs has been an ongoing process. And let me be clear: I’m still very much in the thick of it! With two little ones under three, I don’t have decades of experience—but in just a few years, I’ve learned so much. The Holy Spirit has used motherhood—and even wifehood—to teach me things not just about them, but about me… and about my own relationship with the Father, as His daughter.

This journey—raw, refining, and sacred—is what birthed Mantled Mama.

Before becoming a mom, I was obsessed with watching vlogs and swapping stories with other moms. I thought I was as prepared as I could be. But then—completely unplanned—I gave birth to my daughter alone, in an empty bathtub. That moment shattered every illusion of control I had. And in that sacred, chaotic moment, I realized that no amount of planning could replace the only strength I truly needed: the strength of the Holy Spirit.

That’s when I began to understand what it truly means to carry a mother’s mantle. It’s not just about handling the everyday tasks of motherhood—diapers, dinners, routines. It’s about stepping into a divine assignment with grace, strength, and faith. It’s realizing that motherhood is worship, and we’re called to walk it not in perfection, but in dependence on God.

There will be days where we feel unqualified, overwhelmed, or just plain tired. There will be moments that remind us—painfully and powerfully—that we cannot do this in our own power. But that’s exactly where the beauty lies. Because carrying a mother’s mantle means surrendering control and allowing the Holy Spirit to equip us moment by moment.

And here’s the thing: we were never meant to carry it alone. Too often, shame and guilt creep in, isolating us and convincing us that we have to figure it all out by ourselves. But that’s not the heart of God. That’s not the heart of this space. Mantled Mama is about breaking that cycle—creating a space where we uplift one another, encourage each other through the hard days, and remind each other of the grace we’ve already been given to thrive.

So whether you’re a brand-new mama still finding your footing or a seasoned mother walking in wisdom, I want you to know:

You are mantled for this role.

You are equipped.

You are covered in strength and love.

And you don’t have to carry it alone.

Welcome, Mama. You’ve found your place.
